Frequently asked questions
How do I create a deck?
Decks are markdown files with Marp-style front-matter and
<!-- speaker notes -->. Open the app, paste your markdown, save.
The app autosaves on every change.
Can I use my existing slides?
If you have markdown-based decks (Marp, Hugo Reveal, etc.) the front matter and slide separators should import directly. PowerPoint, Keynote, and Google Slides require manual conversion.
How does the QR remote work?
The app runs a small local-network HTTP server. The QR code in the presenter window encodes the LAN URL. Scan it with any phone on the same Wi-Fi; the phone shows prev/next buttons that drive the slideshow. No app install needed on the phone.
Does it work offline?
Yes, fully. The app contacts no external services. Slides that embed YouTube/Vimeo videos or web URLs need internet for those embeds to play, but the rest of the deck works offline.
Where are my decks stored?
In macOS user defaults (SharedPreferences). Use File → Export to
save a portable JSON or EDN copy.
Can I export to PDF?
Yes. File → Export → PDF. Each slide becomes one PDF page at the fullscreen aspect ratio.
