B12N Slides ("the app") does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information.
What the app does NOT do
- Does not collect user data. No analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, no usage tracking.
- Does not require an account. No sign-up, no email collection.
- Does not connect to external services. No cloud sync, no vendor APIs, no third-party SDKs.
What the app DOES do
- Stores your slide decks locally in
SharedPreferences(macOS user defaults). These never leave your machine. - Runs a local-network HTTP server on a port chosen at startup (typically 8080+) to enable the QR-code remote control feature. This server only accepts connections from devices on your local network and serves only the slideshow UI. It does not authenticate clients (anyone scanning the QR code can drive the deck โ by design, since the QR is the only way to discover the URL). The server is bound to all interfaces; restrict your network if you present on shared/public Wi-Fi.
- Loads embedded media URLs when you include images, videos (YouTube/Vimeo), or web pages in your deck. These requests go directly from your machine to the embedded service; no proxy.
Children's privacy
B12N Slides is suitable for all ages (Apple App Store rating: 4+). No data collection means no special handling for children.
